Wagebee Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 29, 2026
Wagebee ("the app") helps you track your work hours and estimate your pay. This policy explains what happens to your information.
The short version
- Wagebee does not collect, sell or share your personal data.
- There is no account and no sign-in.
- Your hours, rates, notes, tips, mileage, expenses, receipt photos, schedule and time off are stored only on your device.
- If you turn on clocking in by location, your location is checked on your device and never sent to us.
- We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you enter — jobs, shifts, rates, overtime settings, tips, mileage, expenses, receipt photos, notes, your work schedule, time off and your workplace location — is stored on your iPhone, in a storage area shared between the app and its widgets so the widgets can show your status. This data is not sent to us or to anyone else.
Deleting the app deletes this data. If your iPhone is backed up to iCloud or a computer, your data may be included in that backup under Apple's terms.
Apple Watch
If you use Wagebee on Apple Watch, your iPhone sends the watch a short summary — your job name, whether you are on the clock and your pay for the current period — and the watch sends back your clock-in and clock-out taps. This goes directly between your own devices through Apple's Watch connection and is not sent to us.
Location
Clocking in by location is off unless you turn it on for a job. When it is on, Wagebee asks iOS to tell it when you enter or leave a circle around the workplace you set, so it can remind you to clock in or out, or do it for you. This needs location access "Always". The check happens on your device; Wagebee does not record where you go, keep a location history, or send your location to us.
To set your workplace you can search for a place or use the map. Searches and map views are handled by Apple Maps under Apple's privacy policy.
You can turn this off at any time in the job's Workplace settings or in iOS Settings.
Photos
If you attach a receipt photo to an expense, Wagebee reads only the photo you pick and stores a smaller copy inside the app. The app does not access the rest of your photo library.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Wagebee shows local notifications on your device: a reminder when you have been on the clock for a long time, a reminder before a scheduled shift, and, if you turned on clocking in by location, a notice when you arrive at or leave work. They are created on your device and are not sent through our servers.
Sharing, exports and backups
Timesheets (PDF and CSV) and backup files are created on your device. They leave your device only when you choose to share or save them, using the app or service you pick (for example, Files or iCloud Drive). A backup file contains all your Wagebee data, including receipt photos and your workplace location, so keep it somewhere private.
Purchases
Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details. The app checks your purchase status with Apple to unlock Pro features.
Siri and Shortcuts
If you use Siri or Shortcuts with Wagebee, your request is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. Wagebee only receives the action (for example, "clock in") and answers on your device.
Children
Wagebee is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
